The award of the diploma of Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons is an internationally recognised qualification that entitles you to become a Member of a UK Royal College. Award of the Diploma is a pre-requisite for progression to UK specialty training.

Mr John Scott
Mr John Scott graduated from the University of Dundee In 1988 and was awarded FRCS (Glas) in 1992. Following the award of the Intercollegiate FRCS (Plast) in 1999, he was appointed Consultant Plastic Surgeon in the Canniesburn Unit, Glasgow, in 2001.
Mr Scott's areas of clinical specialisation are breast reconstruction and skin oncology. He was appointed Joint Committee on Intercollegiate Examinations Plastic Surgery Board Chair in 2017.
He represented our College in developing a plastic surgery training programme and summative examination with the Malaysian Association of Plastic and Craniomaxillofacial Surgeons. The first graduates were awarded the post-nominal ‘FRCS Glasgow (Plastic Surgery)’ in 2020.
Mr John Camilleri-Brennan
John Camilleri-Brennan FRCSGlasg(Gen.Surg.) is currently a Consultant in General and Colorectal Surgery, colorectal cancer clinical lead and postgraduate surgical trainer with NHS Forth Valley. He is an Honorary Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Glasgow School of Medicine, Dentistry and Nursing.
He has served, within this College, as Regional Advisor/College Tutor, Regional Councillor and Associate Director of Surgical Examinations.
