Overview
Performance Support for Doctors in Training equips senior clinicians to manage doctors who are experiencing difficulties. Specific guidance will be given in relation to the requirements of GMC, recognition and management of issues, and strategies to overcome commonly encountered barriers.
Through national updates, case studies and an in-depth interactive session, this course will support and equip senior clinicians to identify concerns early, diagnose the issue and ensure effective intervention to support resident doctors who are experiencing difficulty or demonstrating difficult behaviours.
The course will be useful for professionals in several positions including senior clinicians, responsible officers, clinical directors, medical directors and clinical leads. Sessions are led by David Wilkin, Consultant in Acute Medicine and Director of Medical Education, Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow.
