Overview
This is an advanced hands-on endoscopic ear surgery dissection course using fresh frozen cadaveric specimens.
The course is suitable for consultants and senior otolaryngology trainees and will be delivered by international and national experts.
Live dissection demonstrations will be undertaken by the faculty in all aspects of endoscopic ear surgery. There will be a variety of lectures on specific aspects of the technique, however, the main emphasis of the course will be to provide hands on practical experience.
Dissections will include
- Raising the tympanomeatal flaps and inspecting the middle ear (second look procedure)
- Interlay graft myringoplasty Tympanoplasty
- Atticotomy
- Approaches to the sinus tympani and facial recess
- Ossiculoplasty
