Aileen Lynn Bequest Fund

A bequest from the late Mrs Aileen Lynn has enabled our College to establish a fund to be used in the field of cancer research. One or two small equipment grants, up to £5,000 each, may be awarded each year dependent on the quality of submissions and the funds available.

Details

Awards will be paid on approval of applications. All applications must be prospective; no award will be made retrospectively. For example, if your proposal is taking place in 2026, you must submit your application by the closing date of 31 August 2025. This is to ensure all applications are ready for review, which takes place in October annually.

How to apply

Download and complete the application form and return the completed form to the address given. Please make sure your application includes:

  • A CV
  • Letter of support from the institution where the work will be undertaken
  • A description of the equipment sought, with a description of the projects that will be advanced by the acquisition of the new equipment
  • You will be required to submit progress reports of your research project (two to three A4 typescript pages). Reports may be published on the College website, and are retained in the College library
